Welcome / Prologue
This is a collection of writings from a season that changed everything.
In October, my husband Corey and I were in a severe accident. After being hit by a driver at over 100 miles per hour in broad daylight, our car flipped multiple times down the interstate which left him with a traumatic brain injury and a long, uncertain road to recovery. What followed were months marked by waiting, small victories, deep grief, and an unexpected nearness to God in both the chaos and quiet moments.
These entries were written in real time. Often late at night, after long days in the hospital or slowly, tediously, picking up the shattered remains at home.
They are not polished.
They are not complete.
But they are honest.
This is not a story about having answers.
It’s about learning to find peace and tenderness in moments that should have suffocated me, and discovering that even there, a faithful and gracious Hand met me.
This is a collection of entries documenting a journey that has taught me how to endure; and to notice the quiet, sacred moments within it; one day, sometimes one hour, at a time.
